SORE reminds its supporters and all interested parties about the Public Meeting Tuesday at 6 pm in the Council Chambers. It is scheduled last of the four items. We have confirmed with CAO Ruller that it’s reasonable to show up around 7 pm rather than 6 pm in order to allow the first three items to be heard.
This will be your only chance to let Council and staff know face to face what you think of the latest attempt by Benny Marotta to outrageously overdevelop one of the most important heritage estates in NOTL.
If you wish to speak briefly to Council on Tuesday evening you must register by noon Monday by emailing the Town Clerk at [email protected] or call 905-468-3266.
You are not required to register if you plan only to attend but not speak. We are not clear if the Public Meeting will be live-streamed but it will be recorded and available for subsequent viewing on the Town website.
Unfortunately we were unable to persuade the CAO to move the meeting from Virgil Council Chambers to the Community Centre as has been the case in the past on Rand applications. He has advised though that all available seating will be reserved for this application and two overflow rooms set up with live-stream of the meeting.
We encourage you to show up and get involved as you always have over the last 9 years and help us finally put Mr Marotta’s plans for Randwood to bed, where they belong.
