Update on Marotta Rand OLT hearing

Article posted on May 20, 2024

The Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) panel hearing the appeal by Benny Marotta on his proposed Rand Estate subdivision has adjourned as planned until late July.

All of the Marotta evidence is now in and SORE is halfway through its case.  The Town evidence will follow.

SORE is very happy with the progress to date.  We believe the OLT should and will send Mr. Marotta back to the drawing board to come up with something more closely resembling the SORE and Town proposals, as well as a comprehensive plan for the entire Rand Estate instead of the piecemeal approach he has adopted to date.

We will update you further as the hearing resumes.

As always, we thank you for your support and encouragement.
