October municipal election – NOTL

Article posted on August 31, 2018

The October municipal election sees a record number of candidates vying for NOTL Town Council and the Lord Mayor’s position. The high degree of interest in these positions no doubt reflects the passion we all feel for this special place and the desire to ensure we approach the future of our town thoughtfully.

SORE applauds all of the candidates for office for their commitment to NOTL and public service.

SORE will not be endorsing individual candidates or a slate of candidates, preferring that NOTL residents reach their own conclusions.   However, over the coming weeks, SORE will be asking each candidate a series of questions about their preferred  approach to preservation of our cultural and built heritage ‎as well as protection of established residential neighbourhoods.   We intend to publish their responses on our website for consideration by NOTL voters.
