Reminder re Friday’s OLT Case Management conference

SORE reminds its supporters and interested parties of the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) Case Management Conference(CMC) TOMORROW (FRIDAY) MORNING AT 10 AM.

The OLT CMC is the first step in the hearing process for the proposed Marotta group subdivision on the back half of the Rand Estate. One of the primary things that will happen tomorrow is an initial list of parties and participants to the hearing.

SORE will seek party status, which as reported previously has been consented to by both the Town and the Marotta group.

Others seeking party status include the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, Niagara Region and possibly the Parks Commission.

The Niagara Foundation, the Niagara Conservancy and several other local organizations and individuals have also sought participant status.

As the Marotta group has not yet filed applications for permits under the Heritage Act, the hearing will not be scheduled until that process is complete.
