Reminder to send support for SORE to LPAT

Article posted on April 8, 2019

LPAT

As we have earlier advised, Benny Marotta has appealed the zoning bylaw application for his proposed convention centre and hotel to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT), rather than letting your elected Council make a decision. LPAT has now set a prehearing on May 9 at the Community Centre.

Reminder on what we are suggesting you do – if you haven’t already. SEND AN EMAIL to Tamara Zwarycz at LPAT advising of your support for SORE’s application for party status. A draft such email is below. Feel free to customize.

[email protected]

Subject Line- LPAT file no PL180803-Two Sisters

Dear Ms Zwarycz:

We write concerning this matter and the case management conference that we understand is set for May 9, 2019, in Niagara on the Lake.

We understand that SORE Association will be seeking party status in this hearing. We write to advise of our support for SORE’s application for such party status. SORE is in the best position to convey our concerns and represent our interests and those of the many hundreds of other concerned residents in the Town and we wish it to do so at the upcoming LPAT hearing.

Please provide this correspondence to the Tribunal for its consideration.

We recommend you close your email by providing your name and address for LPAT’s records.

Thank you for your continued support and assistance.
