SORE and Next Week’s Election

Article posted on October 15, 2018

Recently questions and comments have been placed on social media about the role of SORE (Save Our Randwood Estate) in the current municipal election. Some have also asked about the purpose of the SORE yard sign.

SORE has a single mission, namely:

to support responsible development within the Randwood Estate that respects the unique and significant historical and cultural heritage of the buildings and structures, and the nationally important Dunington-Grubb landscape, a key feature of the estate. Any development of this property must also respect the interests of the current and future residents of the residential areas that surround the site on three sides.

In keeping with this mission, SORE’s involvement in the 2018 election has been limited to seeking input from all candidates related to development generally in NOTL and at Randwood specifically. This has been done via a Question and Answer process, the results of which have been posted to sorenotl.ca.

SORE has not edited nor evaluated the responses received. Further, SORE has not and will not endorse individual candidates. SORE encourages voters to visit our website, collect facts and make up their own minds.

PLEASE VOTE.
