SORE’s lawyers continue to seek information from Marotta’s lawyer and offer additional meeting

Article posted on May 13, 2018

SORE’s lawyers responded May 11 to the April 30 letter from Benny Marotta’s lawyer. See below for both letters. The SORE letter is self-explanatory. It questions Marotta representative’s Maurizio Rogato’s sincerity in telling Council that the Marotta group is open and transparent given the ongoing refusal of Marotta’s lawyer to provide any information to SORE following the Good Friday meeting between SORE and Marotta.

Notwithstanding, SORE has volunteered to participate in a “design charette” with the Marotta group to attempt to close the gap between the outlandish initial Marotta hotel/conference/wedding facility proposal‎ and Romance Inn proposal approved for the site.

SORE’s lawyers have also raised questions on the completeness of the applications‎, which SORE will be pursuing separately.
